Upcoming Events

  • Houston Rodeo Trail Ride — Houston, TX (2027-02-20). The historic Houston Rodeo Trail Ride is one of the most celebrated Black trail riding events in the country. Riders gather from across Texas and the South for days of riding, fellowship, and culture leading up to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
  • Creole Zydeco Ride — Lafayette, LA (2027-03-14). Experience the unique blend of Louisiana Creole culture, zydeco music, and trail riding on this beloved annual event. Riders wind through the beautiful Cajun countryside with live music at the trailhead and a big cookout to close the day.
  • Atlanta Black Cowboy Festival — Atlanta, GA (2027-04-10). Atlanta's premier celebration of Black equestrian heritage. The festival features trail rides, a horse show, youth riding clinics, vendors, and live entertainment. A weekend-long event honoring Georgia's rich Black cowboy tradition.
  • Mississippi Delta Ride — Jackson, MS (2027-05-08). Ride through the soul of the Deep South on this scenic journey across the Mississippi Delta. This annual ride honors the generations of Black horsemen and women who have called the Delta home. Expect stunning countryside, great fellowship, and Southern hospitality.
  • Alabama Heritage Ride — Birmingham, AL (2027-06-12). A powerful ride through Alabama's history and landscape. The Alabama Heritage Ride commemorates the resilience and legacy of Black equestrians in the Heart of Dixie. Trail riders are joined by community leaders for a celebration of culture and history.
  • Georgia Trail Riders Roundup — Savannah, GA (2027-07-19). Set against the Spanish moss and coastal beauty of Savannah, this summer roundup brings together riders from across the Southeast. Features multi-day trail routes, a Saturday night social, and a Sunday breakfast ride along the Georgia coast.
  • Put Your Cups In The Air Trail Ride & Field Party — Boligee, AL (2026-10-03). J.A. Walton Family Land (Est. 1924) presents the Put Your Cups In The Air Trail Ride & Field Party — a full day of riding, music, line dancing, and good vibes only in the Dollar Hide Community. Schedule: • Gates open — 12:00 PM • Trail ride — 4:00 PM • Field party — 6:00 PM Admission is $10 (cash ONLY), increasing to $20 after 6:00 PM. Tents and coolers are welcomed. ATVs and side-by-sides are welcomed but must be parked at dark — no dirt bikes. A clear bag policy is in effect and security is strictly enforced. Trophies will be awarded for: Furthest Traveled, Most Uniform Steppers, Best Linedance Steppers, Best Dressed Cowgirl, and Best Dressed Cowboy. Vendors welcome — vendor fee is $75 (CashApp: $ACTIONJAXN22). Event organizers are not responsible for any damage, injuries, theft, lost items, or accidents on premises.
